Happy December everyone and welcome to my first post that will give you a little sneak peak into our everyday life. Pull up a chair, a cup of coffee and peruse a few pics of our house at Christmas this year.
I actually just finished making this wreath last night!! It’s super simple to make and absolutely stunning. Just Google “DIY ornament wreath” and you can find tons of instructional videos. I did also sort of glitter-bomb our living room and spent a while cleaning up. Oh well, totally worth it. Our door is extra sparkly now!
Having just moved into our new house a few months ago, it took a little bit to find all of our decorations. Still M.I.A. are last year’s lights and ribbon?! Luckily there is a Hobby Lobby 2 miles away. The ornament you see above with the C (heart) L was made by my awesomely sweet and romantic hubby when we were dating. Yes, that is orthodontic wire for the hook and yes, those are dental materials he used to make the ornament. He’s pretty freaking awesome.
The North Pole Village
These beautiful porcelain buildings were a collection my dad had growing up. My mom’s collection was the Snow Village. This year my mom decided to pass them down to my sister and me. As a kid, setting these up around the house was my favorite part of decorating for Christmas. I’m so excited to have a reminder of my wonderful dad here in our house this year during the holidays.
The hanging Santa had to be put in the most used door of the house… Where is that, you may ask?! Why, on the pantry door, of course! Hearing the jingle every time I open the door puts a smile on my face. Hello, I am London Brazil and I am a Christmas Addict.
Out of the 40+ pictures I took of Tevah, these are the only two that came out with her eyes open and where she didn’t look completely depressed. Obviously she does not like being a reindeer. Maybe I will try a Santa Hat on her next time 🙂
Thank you all so much for sticking around to make it to the end of the Christmas pics. You are pretty freaking awesome! I promise, there are many recipes to come. A little elf even told me there might be a 12 Cookies of Christmas coming soon…. ?! *shhhh* I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season and enjoying your December. Merry Christmas!!
